Water Wags Shannon Regatta 2023- This is a little clinker built sailing boat designed in 1887 The Chalets are lovely, really warm and spacious. As we were sailing the water side facilities were brilliant. John Bourke is a really great host and accommodated all of us. We also had the thrill of watching Ireland beat South Africa in Clancy's pub. With a great taxi service to and from the chalets!

Great family getaway Absolutely great weekend, cabins are spotless and well equipped. We had 2 cabins between us, had the whole family down, you couldn't meet a nicer man than John the owner nothing was to much trouble for him,you can also rent boats from John at the marina on site.Would definitely go back again, great to get away from all the hustle and bustle. Would recomend it. Stuart.

Absolutely love coming here. The only downside is having to leave. Highly recommend. We had a wonderful week here. It's a real gem. The cabins are cozy and comfortable and has everything you need for your stay. There are so many activities nearby as well as lovely restaurants. The week went way too fast. John is a super host and so knowledgeable. Cannot wait to return.

Family holiday Absolutely loved this place. Its a beautiful rural setting a short walk to the lake and a short drive to Boyle and Carrick on Shannon. We crammed a lot into the week as there was so much happening. Loads of cycling and walking to do in the local area. John is the perfect host who went out of his way to help us with car problems. We've already booked next year for the Keadue Harp Festival. Thank you John.

Absolutely super family break away We cannot give this place the high enough review that it deserves. Absolutely fabulous! John is a super host as well as his son Martin. Cabin was super. The description does not do it justice. Two adults and 2 kids had lots of space. Access to private marina for daily swimming. You wouldn't get this many places. Very accessible to nearby fabulous restaurants as well as an adventure park for the family to get stuck into. Just superb. Highly recommend. Returning home fully recharged!

Lovely relaxed place for a break We booked a 3 bed cabin for our family of 5 in July 2021, the cabin was roomy and comfortable, our kids loved playing on the swing sets and we felt safe letting them disappear around the place, Lough key is a stone's throw away and the hosts offer use of a row boat with lifejackets if you fancy it. There are nice walks and plenty of things to do nearby, alas due to covid many local amenities we're still closed but once the pandemic passes I'm sure there's something for everyone. Lough key forest park and the nearby alpaca farm in knockvicar being particular highlights. Martin and John the hosts were very friendly and handled any questions we had, and we would love to pay another visit to riverhaven.

Great Family Getaway close to nature and outdoor acitivites It was an awesome family getaway. We stayed for 5 nights and enjoyed The Log Cabin Experience indoors (with a centrally placed wood burner) and exploring nature outdoors within the location. Walking trails, boating , fishing, watching cruisers pass by the Lough edge, visiting Misty(Pony) and Buster(Dog) were some of the much treasured activities. Added to this, as a bonus, The Lough key Forest activity and Park was a 10-min drive with Zipit being another hit. The owner, John and his family were simply awesome in making us feel settled...always happy to share information about the area which helped us immensely in getting to explore different places with activites...Lough Gara being one of them. Ideal for horse riding, archery etc. If you felt like having an Indian takeaway, you can't miss ordering from Himalayan Indian Restaurant(another of John's recommendation). Would highly recommend River Haven and look forward to visiting again. Marek & Nandita

Peaceful and relaxing John is an absolute gentlemen, so welcoming. The area is lovely and clean and tidy. A short stroll to the lough edge, where the boys swam. There is a lovely walk around the area, along the lough edge and knockvicar lock, where you can watch the cruisers. My boys loved Misty the pony and Buster the dog, we even made friends with a couple of kittens. A short drive to Lough Key Forest Park and Zipit tree climb, which is the best activity ever. Loads of nature walks and forest walks nearby. Such a peaceful and relaxing holiday. Highly recommended.
