1) Booking Deposit:- An advance payment of €100 per house per week booking is required at the time of reservation. No booking will be confirmed until the advance payment has been received by the proprietors. Riverhaven Log Cabins reserves the right to request full payment at the time of boking for special events, festivals or other such bookings.
2) Balance of Payment:- Full payment of Log Cabin rental (less advance payment received) must be paid by bank transfer at least 3 days prior to arrival. Customers must include their name on payment transfers and notify the proprietors by email once payment has been made. The €100 security deposit should not be transferred in advance and should be paid in cash on check in.
3) Security Deposit:- A refundable security deposit of €100 must be paid on arrival at Riverhaven, as part of the “Check In” process. The deposit will be refunded on check out once the proprietors are satisfied that the terms and conditions of rental have been compiled with. Failure to leave the accommodation (including barbecues) in a clean and tidy condition may result in the loss of all or part of the security deposit or an additional cleaning charge for excessively dirty cabins on check out.
4) Method of Payment:- Payment of the advance payment and balance of rental charge must be made by bank transfer to the bank account of John & Martin Burke. The Security Deposit is to be made in cash on arrival.
5) Cancellations:- In the event that you wish to cancel your Log House Booking the following charges will apply:-
· On all reservations: - Advance Payment deposit forfeited
· Notification 0 – 2 weeks before arrival:- - 100% of total rental cost
· Notification 2 – 4 weeks before arrival:- - 75% of total rental cost Notification 4 – 8 weeks before arrival:- - 50% of total rental cost
· We strongly advise that all guests take out appropriate insurance to cover any costs associated with having to cancel a holiday.
6) Electricity Charges:- Guests staying at Riverhaven will be charged for electricity usage at a rate of 50 cent per unit. Electricity meters will be read on “check in” and on “check out” and all electricity charges are payable on “check out”. Should electricity charges not be paid on departure they will be deducted from the security deposit.
7) Arrival and Departure Times:- Arrivals 4.00pm – 7.00pm
Departures Before 10.30am
*Arrivals after 7pm can only be facilitated by prior arrangement. Departures after 10.30am
may be possible in some situations but only by agreement with the proprietors.
8) Check-in:- Guests should contact the proprietors prior to arrival at Riverhaven Log Cabins to arrange check in and key collection. The proprietors will meet guests on site and hand over keys once all guests staying in the cabin have completed a “check in form”. If some guests staying in the cabin are not present at first check in the booking party should inform the proprietors of this. Additional guests arriving later must also complete the check in form provided by the proprietors.
9) Check-out:- On the date of departure guests should contact the proprietors to arrange for formal check out. Once the cabin has been inspected and outstanding charges have been paid guests can hand over house keys to the proprietors and formally check out.
10) Accommodation Capacity:- For Insurance reasons, the total number of guests staying in each Log Cabin must not exceed the maximum sleeping capacity of the cabin. In all cases only persons who have completed a “Riverhaven Check In Form” may stay in the cabins. The booking customer is at all times responsible for all guests staying in the cabin.
11) Behaviour:- Riverhaven Log Cabins reserves the right to terminate this contract if Guests fail or refuse to abide by the terms and conditions and house rules of Riverhaven Log Cabins or if the behaviour or conduct of guests is likely to endanger the safety or wellbeing of other guests or that of the booking party themselves.
12) Breakages and Damages:- Any or all breakages or damages to the house or contents, including bed linen and towels, must be notified to the proprietors prior to check out. In the event that the cost of repair of breakages or damages exceeds the amount of the damage deposit paid to the proprietor’s guests will be liable for the cost of same. If damage to the rental property or contents are discovered after departure and customers have not notified the proprietors of these the proprietors will issue a payment demand to the booking customer.
13) Bed linen and towels:- Bed linen and towels are supplied free of charge to all guests staying at Riverhaven Log Cabins. Guests are responsible for the care of bed linen and towels supplied and additional charges will apply in the event of any damage to same. If a cabin is being rented for more than one week, guests can liaise directly with the proprietors to exchange used linen and towels for fresh bed linen and towels.
14) Travel Cots/Highchairs:- Requests for these items must be made at the time of booking and are subject to availability. Travel cot bed linen is not provided.
15) Dogs:- Only fully house trained dogs are allowed to accompany guests staying at Riverhaven Log Cabins. All dogs must be kept under control at all times, particularly when around children or animals at Riverhaven. Any dogs accompanying guests at Riverhaven must not be allowed on furniture or beds or allowed to moult on house rugs. Dogs must not be allowed to damage house contents or furniture. Dog owners must also ensure that all waste is collected and properly disposed of in Black waste bins. The cost is €40 per dog per week and €6.00 per day for short stays.
16) Liability:- Riverhaven Log Cabins, its employees or agents shall not be liable for any damages, loss, or personal injury which may be sustained by persons or property at any time during the reserved stay.
17) Complaints:- In the unlikely event of a complaint concerning any aspect of your accommodation, this should be brought to the attention of the proprietors immediately. The proprietors will endeavour to resolve any issues as soon as possible after receiving a complaint.
18) Group Bookings:- Riverhaven Log Cabins only accepts bookings for hen or stag parties if agreed in writing in advance. In the event of non-disclosure the proprietors reserve the right to refuse check in for such groups and no refund will be provided.
19) Multi House Bookings:- Where guests at Riverhaven have booked more than one cabin the booking party must nominate at the time of booking, a contact person/key holder for each house. The key holder for each house, together with the booking party, is responsible for the care of the cabin during their stay at Riverhaven and also to ensure that all items (including furniture and kitchenware) moved from one cabin to another during the stay are returned to their original position prior to check out.
20) Right to Decline:- Riverhaven Log Cabins reserve the right to refuse a booking without reason or explanation.
21) Please do not leave any food or personal belongings in the cabin when departing. Personal belongings will be disposed of
